Kent & Iheoma
Our Story
My stranger. My friend. My forever. This is our story, told from the bride’s side.

2021 · I was Prayer Secretary
My Stranger
The first time I saw Kent, I was a university student serving as Prayer Secretary of the Christian Law Students’ Association of Nigeria, UNIZIK chapter. He came to say hello to the executives. I did not know him then, and we did not speak.
In September, during my morning devotions, God began speaking to me emphatically about marriage. He gave me precise instructions and asked me to write down what I desired in a partner. I did not yet know those words would guide everything that followed.
Later that year Kent found my number in a choir group chat. As my senior colleague in law, he knew my elder sister and called to ask if we were related. Who knew that “coincidence” would lead to this coalescence?
2022 · I was President
My Friend
In December 2021, a few days before my sister’s wedding, Kent called to congratulate me on becoming fellowship president. We did not speak again until 7 March 2022, when I saw his birthday photograph on a trusted senior colleague’s WhatsApp status and called to return his kindness.
I did not know that would be one call I would start but would not end. Three months later, after a major ladies’ conference, the Holy Spirit told me Kent would ask me out in 2023 and that I should open my heart to give him a chance. The rest of the year passed normally — as friends — only we kept growing closer.

2023 · I became his partner
My Forever
In 2021 we started as strangers. In 2022 we continued as friends. In 2023 we began a relationship that will never end.
Come April 2023, Kent asked me out. I was filled with joy and wonder — first at how mysterious God always is, and then at the life-determining question I had just heard from Kent. You already know my answer from the photographs across this site.
I’ll say yes a million times over!
